A limited number of these will be built…
Singer Vehicle Design, long recognized for building some of the most interesting Porsches on the secondary market, is yet again turning heads. This time it’s with the reveal of a customer’s 964 which received the Dynamics & Lightweighting Study (DLS) treatment with turbocharging incorporated. While the restoration was personalized, Singer says it will build more DLS Turbo cars for a limited number of customers.

According to the company, a number of clients have requested such a vehicle, which spurred its creation. After all, if enough people with money want something, it will most likely become a reality.
Created with the Porsche 934/5 endurance racers as inspiration, there’s a certain degree of reserved flair to this car. Of course, the most eye-catching is that rear wing, which along with the prominent front fascia provide serious downforce. However, both are removable, enabling owners to tone down the track-oriented looks, for when they want to drive around the city.
Singer provides a smaller front fascia that doesn’t look like it will slice pedestrians in half and a ducktail spoiler. That swap also allows the 3.8-liter 24-valve flat-six with twin turbos to really shine on the low end as it isn’t fighting that extra drag. Whether on the road or track, drivers will surely appreciate the stout 700-horsepower on tap, a figure which in the past was reserved only for the most potent supercars. What a time to be alive.
As you probably guessed, if you have to ask how much a Singer 911 DLS Turbo costs, well you can’t afford it. These cars are truly special and so are the price tags, making them most definitely playthings for the rich, even if the rest of us admire them from a distance.
