A pristine 1995 McLaren F1, one of two in Marlboro White, sells through Broad Arrow Private Sales.
A highly coveted 1995 McLaren F1 supercar, uniquely finished in Marlboro White, has sold through Broad Arrow Private Sales, marking a significant transaction in the world of elite automobile collecting.
The car, chassis number 053, is one of only two McLaren F1 road cars produced in the distinctive Marlboro White color. Its striking appearance is complemented by a meticulously crafted interior: the central driver’s seat features luxurious light blue Alcantara upholstery, while the two passenger seats showcase an elegant blend of dark blue and grey leather combined with Alcantara cloth.

With just 1,291 kilometers (802 miles) on the odometer, chassis 053 ranks among the lowest-mileage, most pristine examples of the iconic McLaren F1. This exceptional condition underscores its rarity and collector value. Carefully preserved since its delivery, the vehicle has been maintained exclusively by McLaren Special Operations, the manufacturer’s dedicated heritage division, ensuring unmatched originality and meticulous care.
Originally delivered to prominent Japanese racing figure Kazumichi Goh, the car boasts fully documented provenance, further adding to its desirability. Recent maintenance, including a fuel cell replacement in 2021 and comprehensive servicing completed in November 2024, affirms its impeccable mechanical state.
Noted automotive designer Gordon Murray engineered the McLaren F1 to redefine supercar performance, making it one of the most celebrated automotive achievements of the 20th century. Equipped with original owner manuals, bespoke fitted luggage, a factory tool roll, and an accompanying Facom tool chest, chassis 053 offers its new owner not just a vehicle, but an important piece of automotive history.
Broad Arrow Private Sales did not disclose the transaction price, but industry experts suggest values for similar examples easily reach into the tens of millions, reflecting the enduring appeal of McLaren’s groundbreaking supercar.
