The driver is said to be in stable condition.
David Gilliland Racing team driver Taylor Gray was involved in a car accident on Wednesday night. The accident was a single-car crash and it’s unclear if he collided with another object, what he was driving, and any other factors involved. He was transported to a local hospital from the scene.

As car as an upcoming event Gray was set to drive in, NASCAR issued a state that, “Gray, who currently drives in the ARCA Menards Series, is scheduled to make his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Richmond (Va.) Raceway on Saturday, April 17. Gray’s participation in the event will be determined at a later time.”
Taylor Gray is a New Mexico native who just turned 16 on March 25th. He competes full-time, with 22 races for David Gilliland Racing in the ARCA Menards Series East, driving the No. 17 Ford.
The team was debuted in June of 2020, while Gray made his way into the stock car circuit in 2018, and won a CARS Tour Late Model race at Hickory Speedway in 2019. Gray’s older brother, Tanner Gray, also competes on the team, and brother, father, and grandfather are all NASCAR alumni.
