A 1957 Ferrari 335 S wins Best of Show at the 2024 Salon Privé Concours, highlighting its legendary racing history.

A stunning 1957 Ferrari 335 S has captured the prestigious Best of Show award at the 2024 Salon Privé Concours, held at the magnificent Blenheim Palace. Entered by American enthusiast Brian Ross, this iconic sports-racer wowed the crowd during the Tour Privé on August 27 and continued to impress the expert judging panel the following day.

The Ferrari 335 S, chassis number 0674, boasts a rich racing history, having been campaigned by Scuderia Ferrari during the 1957 season. Piloted by legendary drivers such as Peter Collins, Wolfgang von Trips, Mike Hawthorn, and Stirling Moss, the car achieved significant success, including a second-place finish at the Mille Miglia and a fastest lap at the Le Mans 24 Hours. The vehicle's storied past, coupled with its recent meticulous restoration, made it a standout contender at the prestigious event.

In addition to the Ferrari's victory, the concours also celebrated other exceptional vehicles. Lord Bamford’s 1933 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Sport Saloon by Freestone & Webb secured second place, while third place went to the 1927 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8AS Fleetwood Roadster, originally ordered by movie star Rudolph Valentino. The 2024 Salon Privé featured 72 entries across 14 classes, showcasing a diverse range of classic cars from around the world, making it the largest and most prestigious edition of the event to date.
