A reminder that even during quarantine/social distancing, we could all use a little automotive therapy.
As a result of the worldwide spread of Covid-19, many areas are instituting a self-isolation policy to limit the disease's impact. The result is nothing less than nationwide cabin fever (for those following the rules), which is why we can't fault reality star Kendall Jenner for stepping outside to fire up her classic Thunderbird. In doing so, though, Jenner, was criticized by some commenters for what they interpreted as her breaking the rules, according to Daily Dot.
Even though the picture doesn't appear to show the car actually being driven, Jenner was called out by a follower for not staying home to which she responded on Twitter saying that she is taking the quarantine seriously and that it's "not a bad idea to get some fresh air as long as you keep a safe distance from others and follow all guidelines." We can't think of anything better to be socially distant than to sit in your driveway, and fire up your old classic. Rev away, Kendall!
The car in question appears to be a 1956 Ford Thunderbird given to her mother, Kris Jenner, for Christmas in 2016. The Jenner matriarch received not one but two vintage T-birds that year from her children, which can be seen in the Instagram post below.
Let us know on Facebook what cars you're firing up during this quarantine, and be sure to do your part so we can all get back to our regularly scheduled lives as soon as possible!
