Hennessey Performance’s Super Venom Mustang boasts 850 hp and aggressive styling, with only 91 examples set for production.
Hennessey Performance is taking the seventh-generation Ford Mustang to extreme new levels with the launch of the Super Venom, an 850-horsepower beast built for raw power and aggressive styling. Limited to just 91 units, this high-performance muscle car is a tribute to the company’s 1991 founding and pushes the limits of Ford’s legendary pony car.
The Super Venom is based on the latest Mustang GT and Dark Horse variants, but Hennessey’s modifications make it a completely different animal. The Texas tuner has added a high-performance supercharger, upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pump, a high-flow air induction system, and a recalibrated engine management system. The result is a staggering 850 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque—an increase of 70 percent over the stock Dark Horse.
That extra power translates to serious performance gains. The Super Venom can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, shaving half a second off the standard Dark Horse’s time. It also completes the quarter-mile in a blistering 10.9 seconds. Buyers can opt for either a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic to suit their driving style.
In addition to its enhanced powertrain, the Super Venom features an aggressive carbon-fiber aero package, including a redesigned front splitter, side skirts, and a massive rear wing. A special “’91 Icon Livery” is available in black, red, or silver, commemorating Hennessey’s 34 years in business. The car rides on lightweight 20-inch performance wheels, and Hennessey badging adorns nearly every surface.
Inside, the Super Venom is fitted with Alcantara and leather-trimmed seats in either blue or black, optional Recaro sport seats, and a tailor-made dash plaque displaying the car’s serial number.
Pricing starts at $149,950 for the GT-based version and $163,950 for the Dark Horse variant—more than triple the cost of a stock Mustang GT. With production capped at just 91 units, availability will be limited for those eager to own one of the most extreme Mustangs ever built.
