This Bird is serial #001…
The Plymouth Superbird is a legend among classic American muscle cars. While we can sit around hoping Fiat Chrysler will revive the Plymouth brand, that’s probably not happening anytime soon. Do the next best thing and grab this 2010 Dodge Challenger Superbird being sold through Streetside Classics. It combines the iconic looks of the Superbird with modern technology and interior comforts. Plus, this is serial #001 made by Heide Performance Products with paperwork to back up that claim, making this Bird quite collectible.
The two biggest features from the Plymouth Superbird are on display with this beautiful Blue Pearl, customized Dodge Challenger. An aerodynamic nose cone recreates one used to help the original car hit NASCAR-dominating top speeds. Around back is that super tall wing, adding stability on long straightaways. Other elements like the hood pins, side scoops, and customized rear fascia tie this car to the classic even better. Road Runner cartoon decals like what came on the original car adorn this one, which is a fun detail. You also get HPP Plymouth alloy wheels with an appropriately retro design.
While there’s plenty going on in the looks department, don’t underestimate the performance of this machine. It has a 6.1-liter Hemi V8 and a Kenne Bell supercharger bolted up. To maximize the setup, HPP added cold air induction, high-performance injector rails, and more. A six-speed manual transmission is a nice touch.
Since this car has well under 8,000 miles on the odometer, the interior looks essentially brand new. Accent pieces in the dash, center console, and seats match the exterior paint. White gauge faces, plus Mopar A-pillar pod gauges add to the cool factor. Superbird embossing on the headrests and HPP floormats are also nice upgrades. Don’t forget this Dodge has power everything, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, airbags, air conditioning, and other modern perks.
HPP didn’t make too many of these modern Dodge Challenger Superbirds, so you won’t run into many. To make an offer on this Challenger Superbird get in touch with Streetside Classics.
