Carlisle Auctions wraps up 2024 with $3.3M in sales and a successful Fall Collector Car Auction, setting the stage for exciting 2025 events.
The Fall Carlisle Collector Car Auction wrapped up the auction season on a high note, generating $3.3 million in sales and selling 50% of all available lots. Held at the Carlisle Expo Center on October 3-4, 2024, this event marked the third and final Carlisle Auction of the year and played a prominent role in celebrating the 50th anniversary of Carlisle Events.
A key highlight of the auction was the sale of several high-profile classic vehicles, which collectively accounted for over $312,000 in sales. The top lot was a pristine 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air that commanded $89,000. Other notable sales included a 1968 Corvette that went for $75,600, a 1965 Pontiac GTO that sold for $74,000, and a 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle, which fetched $73,440. These impressive results reflected the continued demand for classic American muscle cars, solidifying their place in the hearts of collectors and enthusiasts alike.
In addition to the strong showing of muscle cars, the auction’s All-Truck Hour proved to be a crowd favorite, with the rising demand for trucks setting the stage for an exciting development in 2025. In response to the overwhelming popularity, Carlisle Auctions announced that they will expand the All-Truck Hour, dedicating an hour each day at future auctions exclusively to truck sales. This decision highlights the growing interest in trucks as collectible vehicles and promises to further elevate the auction experience for enthusiasts.
Tony Cline, Director of Auction Operations at Carlisle Auctions, expressed gratitude to all consignors and bidders for their participation. "We continue to move forward in both quality and quantity and look forward to carrying this momentum into 2025," Cline said, as the auction house sets its sights on the upcoming Lakeland Winter Collector Car Auction, scheduled for February 7-8, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida, at the SUN 'n FUN Expo Campus.
