These crazy cars are ready to go head to head to secure the position of world’s fastest performance vehicle.
When it comes to high-performance racing cars, two types of vehicles stand tall among the rest as the world's fastest automobiles. One of those two vehicles is the famous Formula One, whereas the second is far more consumer-oriented. Of course, we're talking about everyone's favorite German/French Supercar Manufacturer, Bugatti. These great cars have destroyed records left and right ever since their first conception decades ago. Speed is critical with these high-revving performances, and racing cars push the limits of what a combustion engine can do, and today we will get to see who is faster.
Watch some more exotics take on races here.
In one lane sits a beautiful Bugatti Chiron with an 8.0-liter W16 engine which produces 1,479 horsepower with the assistance of four turbochargers. The powerhouse pushing the F1 car to its top speed is a 2.4-liter V8 powerhouse which needs no extra support from forced induction to make big power numbers. These cars will go head to head in three races, so see who will take the title for being the most aerodynamic, low-slung, powerful beast. Driving the cars will be the owner of the Chiron in the Bugatti and a retired F1 racer from about 13 years ago. We know that these drivers will know their cars better than anyone.
Finally, the two cars lined up for the first race; while both vehicles had a grand launch, the F1 car pulled away quickly as it passed the Bugatti with a vicious might. Race two was a bit different, with the vehicles keeping up with one another for a while. After a few seconds of being neck and neck, the F1 racer still pulled off and took home the win. The third race went the same way, with the Bugatti finishing the quarter-mile in just 9.6 seconds while the F1 car completed the race in 9.2 seconds. The winner here is clear; let's hope we get to see many more of these races in the future.
