Dodge Charger Police Cruiser Versus 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R

A Race to Face the Corvette.

In a no-holds-barred face-off at Colorado's Bandimere Speedway, Roman Mica in a Dodge Charger Pursuit squared off against Andre Smirnov in a 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R. The prize? A quarter-mile race against Tommy Mica's manual C6 Corvette.

See disasters which destroyed thousands of cars here.

First, let's talk specs. The Ford F-150 Raptor R is Ford's most powerful production truck, with a curb weight of 5,950 pounds and a 700 horsepower Predator V8 engine. On the other hand, the Charger Pursuit, an ex-police vehicle, weighs 4,522 pounds and sports a 5.7-liter HEMI engine with 370 horsepower.

The race unfolded as you might expect, given the numbers. Andre completed the quarter-mile in just over 13 seconds, reaching 106.51 mph. Roman's Charger clocked in at 16.5 seconds and a top speed of 86.73 mph. No surprises here; Andre's Raptor R won the chance to race Tommy's Corvette.

Moving to the showdown with the C6 Corvette, the car featured 400 horsepower and was even lighter than the Charger. Despite these attributes, it wasn't enough to outpace the Raptor R. Andre finished in 13.14 seconds, while Tommy crossed the line at 14.9 seconds and 101.13 mph.

So, at nearly a mile above sea level, the Ford F-150 Raptor R ruled the day, outpacing both the Charger and the Corvette. The takeaway? If you find yourself at a stoplight next to a Raptor R, it might be best just to enjoy the scenery.
