Supercar Ron reveals the crown jewel of his collection, Paul Walker’s rare E36 BMW M3 Lightweight, one of just 126 ever made.
Renowned car collector and content creator Supercar Ron recently unveiled the rarest and most sentimental vehicle in his $17 million collection: an E36 BMW M3 Lightweight that once belonged to the late actor and car enthusiast, Paul Walker.
Paul Walker, known worldwide for his role as Brian O’Conner in the Fast & Furious franchise, was not only a Hollywood star but also an avid car enthusiast. At the time of his tragic death in 2013, Walker had amassed a collection of around 30 unique vehicles, including an impressive five E36 BMW M3 Lightweights—an extraordinary feat given that only 126 were ever produced.
The E36 M3 Lightweight is a rare, track-focused variant of the standard M3, weighing 90 kilograms (200 pounds) less than the original thanks to extensive weight-saving measures. With a reworked chassis and track-oriented design, it has become a highly sought-after collector’s car.
Supercar Ron, based in Utah, has a car collection that would make any enthusiast jealous, including icons like the Ferrari F40, Lexus LFA, and Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato. Yet, it’s the E36 M3 Lightweight that holds a special place in his heart.
“This is one of five cars that the late Paul Walker personally owned,” Ron shared in a recent video. “The fact that they were owned by essentially the James Dean of our time makes it incredibly special.”
After Walker’s passing, his collection was sold off, and Ron acquired this specific E36 M3 Lightweight for $242,000. He chose it for its pristine condition and exceptionally low mileage. Unlike many rare collectibles that remain garage queens, Ron plans to drive the car regularly, preserving Walker’s legacy through his love of driving.
“There are cars in my collection that I plan on keeping, owning, driving for the rest of my entire life,” Ron explained, emphasizing the personal significance of this rare BMW.
For Ron, the E36 BMW M3 Lightweight is more than a car—it’s a piece of history tied to one of Hollywood’s most beloved car enthusiasts, and a reminder of the passion that fuels the automotive world.
