Quality Trans AM SE models are getting harder and harder to find.
Restore A Muscle Car is pleased to announce the sale of this special 1977 Pontiac Trans Am SE. Quality Trans Am Special Edition models are few and far in between these days, so take advantage of this opportunity before it’s too late. The example you see here is a true Y82 Smoky and the Bandit Special Edition TA, with detail and pride in ownership clearly visible throughout. It is one of only 2,699 four-speed SE cars built in 1977, which is less than five percent of total production numbers. It’s a rare and highly sought-after car with just 5,306 miles on it and numbers matching throughout.
This is a PHS documented four-speed Trans AM in well-stored condition. It rides on original 15x7 Sold-accented snowflake wheels. The undercarriage is in excellent condition with no rust whatsoever. The heart and soul of this 1977 Trans Am SE is a Pontiac W72 400 6.6-liter engine mated to a Borg-Warner four-speed transmission and the factory dual exhaust. The perfect deluxe interior includes a tilt steering column and a vintage Pioneer Super-Tuner AM/FM radio.
The 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition is hard to miss, especially with that striking Starlight Black paint with gold striping and grille inserts. Most people know the car as being the start of the show in the Smoky and the Bandit movie. Standard equipment includes a front air dam, dual-chrome splitter exhaust extensions, and a rear decklid spoiler. The interior features a gold instrument bezel with gold-accented steering wheel and red Firebird emblems. This example was ordered as a Y82 with the Hurst T-top.
This car is very well-known, yet not very often seen on the roads. It’s truly a timeless masterpiece that takes everyone back 40 years to where they were when the movie first came out. Now is your chance to stun the crowds at your local car show or merely attract smiles and glances everywhere you go. Call today!
