This rare and stunning 1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi is finished in Grigio Metallic paint with a red leather interior. For sale by Chicago Car Club, this Italian beauty is in excellent condition and comes with all the original books, manuals, receipts, and window sticker. It also has a mere 17,325 original miles on the odometer. It’s now up for grabs and ready to be in the hands of a new owner. Only 508 were produced, so this is really a dream come true for one lucky buyer.
Chicago Car Club purchased this 308 GTSi from a physician in the Chicago suburbs who had owned the car for the last 16 years. The car has been meticulously maintained throughout its entire ownership with most of the work performed at Lake Forest Sportscars in Illinois. This Ferrari is ready for a summer of enjoyment and memories, as it has just been serviced and features a removable targa top with functional air conditioning to boot.
The video shows every angle of the car with an up-close view of any blemishes through direct sunlight. There are a few, as can be expected with a nearly four-decade-old vehicle. This is a factory Grigio Metallic (code 700C) car with just a few little chips. The wheels are in phenomenal shape, having recently been refinished. There is no curb rash or damage to them whatsoever. The wheels are wrapped in Michelin TRX tires with minimal wear and only 3,000 miles of use within a ten-year timeframe. The glass and light lenses are all free of any condensation or cracks.
While the exterior may not be red, as Ferraris are so often associated with, the interior is. The door panels, center console, and seats remain just as vibrant as they did back in 2003 when the components were re-dyed. Wear is minimal and mainly limited to minor aging on the driver’s side outer bolster. The interior also features a functional handbrake, Kenwood radio, wipers, interior lights, power windows, and analog clock. It is especially worth mentioning that this Ferrari has never been smoked in.

This 1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi is powered by a 2.9L V8 engine paired up to a 5-speed manual transmission. The car drives incredibly well and runs as good as new. It fires right up the first time around, idles at a cool temperature, and shifts smoothly. What’s more, it accelerates with no hesitation and brakes effectively; the response time is impressive. The clutch feels like a dream and the car itself sounds just as it should. It would be a shame to let this sale pass you by. This Ferrari is summer-ready and begging to be taken out on a road trip somewhere.
