This stunning F-150 SVT looks factory fresh with only 928 produced in Oxford White for the year 2000
With values continuing to climb for the original generation of super trucks, this tenth generation Ford F-150 has enjoyed the SVT treatment and bears the iconic Lightning badge. A badge that came to fruition because some guys at Ford decided that turning a commercial truck into a quasi race car was a ruddy good idea. The world agreed too, with celebrity owners such as Lady Gaga daily driving a first generation Lightning to this very day.
Unlike many of the well-used beasts that still roam America, this one – currently up from grabs through Vanguard Motor Sales – has two rather special features. Climb aboard the sumptuous Alcantara-clad bucket seats and you’ll notice how fresh everything looks and feels. With just 6531 miles on the odometer, this is likely one of the lowest mileage examples in existence today.
Some 4966 Lightning models were produced in the year 2000, of which just 928 were finished in this unusual Oxford White paint job. Considering the more typical red and black colors seen on these models, the white suits it rather well.
Like any other Lightning, it’s business as usual under the bonnet with that thumping 5.4-liter V8 motor pushing out 360 snarling horses via a monumental supercharger. For anyone who hasn’t enjoyed the audible cacophony that erupts from under the hood should immediately search the internet. Think of a jumbo jet mixed with a thunderstorm of V8 goodness.
Being a 2000 model, this example sadly misses out on the additional 20 horsepower provided by the 2001 model year, however considering its condition and colour combination, this stunning truck needn’t worry, we somehow doubt the next owner will be taking full advantage of this burnout machine.
Perhaps missing out on the accolade of being the fastest truck in the world for the 2001 model year is slightly frustrating, however. For more information on this F-150 Lightning, visit the Motorious classifieds.
