2024 'Yenko/SC' Corvette Packs 1,000 HP with Twin Turbos

Specialty Vehicle Engineering's new Yenko/SC Corvette C8 boasts 1,000 hp and will be limited to 10 examples for 2024.

Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE), a renowned aftermarket performance company based in New Jersey, has unveiled its latest masterpiece: the 2024 Yenko/SC Corvette C8. This aggressively tuned supercar will be limited to just 10 units in 2024 and promises an astounding 1,000 horsepower, setting a new benchmark for Corvette enthusiasts.

The stock C8 Corvette, already a powerhouse with its naturally aspirated V8 engine, offers between 490 hp in its base model and 670 hp in the Z06 variant. However, the engineers at SVE saw an opportunity to push the envelope even further. Through a series of comprehensive upgrades, they've transformed the LT2 V8 engine into a beast capable of delivering double the base model's power.

The heart of this transformation lies in precision-engineered components. The engine features a forged steel crankshaft, forged H-beam rods, and forged aluminum pistons. High-flow cylinder heads, a custom intake manifold, and an upgraded eight-speed dual-clutch transmission capable of handling the increased power have also been added. The pièce de résistance is the installation of two 58-millimeter water-cooled turbochargers, which significantly boost the engine’s output to a staggering 1,000 hp.

Beyond the impressive mechanical upgrades, the Yenko/SC Corvette also includes several cosmetic enhancements. Unique exhaust tips, available in silver or black, add a distinctive flair to the vehicle's rear. The staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels come in three different designs, and customers can choose from a range of colors for the Yenko-badged brake calipers. The interior features SVE’s signature embroidered Yenko logos on the headrests and floor mats, adding a touch of exclusivity.

The Yenko/SC C8 Corvette is available in both coupe and convertible body styles, with buyers able to select from any of the factory color options. Special Yenko/SC graphics are available in nine colors, with a tenth option in carbon fiber for those seeking an extra touch of sophistication.

However, this level of performance and exclusivity comes at a price. The Yenko/SC package starts at CDN$136,429 (US$99,995), excluding the cost of the donor Corvette and any optional extras. This price tag reflects the extensive modifications and the unparalleled driving experience that SVE promises with this supercar.

For those eager to get their hands on one of these limited-edition Corvettes, only 10 examples will be available for the 2024 model year. Fortunately, SVE plans to produce an additional 50 units in 2025, giving more enthusiasts a chance to own this extraordinary vehicle.

The 2024 Yenko/SC Corvette C8 is a testament to SVE's engineering prowess and a dream come true for Corvette aficionados seeking the ultimate in power and performance.
