A little time, money and vision will go a long way with these cars.
If you've been looking for the perfect project car, check out the auction that is being hosted this weekend by VanDerBrink Auctions. The Doug Wilson Collection will be up for grabs on October 5, 2019 in Tea, South Dakota consisting of a variety of project vehicles from almost every automotive decade.
Whether you're looking for an original Model A or a late-model van to trick out, this collection really has it all. Even better, the rough yet original conditions suggests that most of these potential project vehicles could be picked up for a song, and the assortment of vehicles ranges from a 1930 Ford Model A Two-Door Sedan right up though a bone stock 1990 Chevrolet C20 van.
Some of the coolest vehicles in this collection are the pickups. Square-body Chevys are spiking in value and collectibility these days and there are a couple of these trucks, but the '50s Ford pickups might have the most potential for return on investment. The 1953 Ford F100 has the iconic vintage Ford truck look to it, while the 1955 Ford F350 one-ton truck would make for an interesting show vehicle or hauler.
Most of the 120 vehicles aren't trucks either, which works out if you're looking for a project car. The variety of cars is even broader with notable examples like the pink 1957 Bel Air sedan, 1965 Plymouth Belvedere, 1956 Mercury Montclair, 1967 Chevrolet Impala convertible and even the 1974 AMC Gremlin X. All of the cars, trucks and vans being auctioned off are American products, but the overall mix of makes, models and body styles is impressively vast.
This auction has an incredible mix of cars, trucks and vans that are ready to be restored, modified or used as parts donors. There's even a couple of motorcycles and tractors thrown in the mix as well!
