Looking as good as it did when leaving the factory, this Supra is a prime target for a collector.
The Toyota Supra is one of Japan’s most iconic sports cars, especially the fourth generation model. Known for its hardy mechanicals and 1000hp-plus tuning capabilities, it’s very hard to find a stock Supra IV today. The launch of the new MK5 Supra is now in full swing, and there’s even more interest in the preceding model from collectors trying to find the most factory fresh examples. This white car from the Atlantis Motor Group is a strong candidate.
There was something of a global awakening when a mint condition Supra sold at an RM Sothebys auction in March 2019 for an incredible $173,600. Since then, many Supras that have been in automotive hibernation have surfaced, including this 1994 car. It’s a highly desirable twin-turbocharged model that is totally stock, and has been maintained in a temperature controlled environment.
The car in question has covered just 10,000 miles from new and is totally unblemished — it’s almost as if it rolled straight out of the factory and into a time capsule. As impressive as it is externally, the cabin is the real time warp. Perfect carpets, untarnished plastics, and seats that look as if they’ve only been sat in a handful of times, add to the allure.
The fourth generation Toyota Supra came in two guises, with the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder motor being the most potent. During development the car clocked an incredible top speed of 177mph, however, production cars were all limited to 155mph. Clever anti-lag systems developed in motorsport meant that the Supra had the grunt to take on the best of Europe and America at the time.
This white four-speed automatic Supra comes will all of its original documentation, books, window sticker, tags, and tools. How do you go 25 years without losing a single shred of original paraphernalia? Amazingly, this car has only ever had one very organised owner.
With values of these cars soaring the $109,900 asking price is to be expected.
