If Batman drove a Ford Mustang it would be this! Packing 550hp from a supercharged V8, this pony car is a one-off built for SEMA.
The Ford Mustang is an American institution that represents aspiration at an affordable price tag. However, this ‘power to the people’ pony car became so popular that sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between your neighbours ‘Stang and your own. Fear not, as this heavily modified Mustang GT built for SEMA will certainly help you stand out from the herd.
Based on a 2003 model, this potent convertible is a one-off that was built for the SEMA tuning and performance show by Widow Industries. Its swollen Dark Shadow Grey bodywork gives it a sinister complexion, especially with that huge power dome on the hood.
Under said hood you’ll find a custom SC 4.6-litre fettled with by Mass Acceleration Motorsports who teased 550hp from this supercharged unit. It has been done properly too with plenty of engineering going into additional cooling Nitrous Oxide flowing through the cars intercooler. This is a serious mod motor that contributed to an overall build price of $120,000 when new.
Keeping all of this performance under control is an Auburn posi-traction differential, Ford 8.8-inch rear axle, and Baer four-wheel power disc brakes. Heavily modified suspension also provides composure through punishing corners.
The interior is in keeping with the Jekyll turned Hyde tone of this Mustang and is trimmed with red and black leather. Supportive Corbeau GTS seats are offered to both driver and passenger while an upgraded Cobra steering wheel is proudly on display. A nice high-tech feature is the Pioneer touchscreen audio system that is linked to a monstrous sound system located where the back seats once were.
Currently listed on Motorious with RK Motors for $43,900, this unique Mustang represents something of a bargain considering its original six-figure build cost. The car also comes with its original window sticker, a binder detailing the complete build process, and the cars official performance output measured on a dyno.
