This ‘80s Camaro is a mostly untouched and low-mile example.
Like many fun-oriented vehicles, the third-generation Chevrolet Camaro is hard to find in decent shape. Most have either fallen apart due to neglect or old age, but this 1985 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is a quality specimen of this model.
Vintage Motorcars in Madison, Wisconsin offers this Camaro for sale, stating, “if you're looking for a clean, ready to drive, low mileage collector, you don't need to look any further.” They also mention that this car has always been garage-kept, also stating that it “seems it was used sparingly and for fun occasions.”
The exterior of this example received a paint respray to the factory Medium Gray Metallic color at one point, and the vehicle’s stripes were also reapplied at the same time.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find an immaculate black cloth interior. While this Camaro has a T-top roof, they do not leak and the headliner is also in great shape. There are also plenty of creature comforts on this Chevy’s option list, including air conditioning, cruise control, power locks, rear defogger, AM/FM stereo, tinted glass and more. The seller notes that all of these features work with the exception of the original R12 air conditioning system, which could benefit from a conversion to a more modern R134 setup.
A 305 cubic-inch V8 pairs with an automatic transmission to drive the rear wheels on this example. While it may not be the most desirable drivetrain for a third-generation Camaro, it’s also by far not the worst choice, and it only has 36,128 miles on its 5-digit odometer. There’s also a host of recently performed maintenance, including a new starter, battery, brakes, tires, wheel bearings, struts, and an alignment. Despite being a generally pristine and stock Camaro, it does have one notable modification – a Magnaflow exhaust system.
