A prime example of why classics from out west are so desirable.
The majority of trucks and SUVs live a hard life of working, driving and shuttling people around, so it isn't too common to find one in good condition that hasn't been completely modified. 4-Wheel Classics of Holland, Michigan specializes in finding pristine, unmolested survivor trucks and SUVs including this amazing one-owner 1986 Chevrolet Suburban from California.
Not only is this truck in amazing condition thanks to a recent repaint, but there's not even 43,000 miles on the odometer. Even more surprising, the only modifications made to this Suburban appear to be limited to alloy wheels and stainless running boards. Inside, the three-row SUV shows just as well with a blue cloth interior that shows little wear; the listing mentions crack in the upper dash, but that appears to be the only shortcomings of this interior.
Even more interesting is the fact that this Suburban is a K20 – three-quarter ton model – meaning that someone specifically paid extra for a higher GVWR. Although diesel and big-block engines were offered in the K20 Suburbans, this one has the 350 CID V-8 with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Despite its heavy-duty capabilities, this SUV doesn't seem to have suffered the abuse or racked up the high miles you would normally expect from such a vehicle. It makes you think why an SUV like this wouldn't be used, but we're glad to see one in such great shape!
As the trucks and SUVs from the '70s and '80s continue to climb in popularity and value, it's probably going to get increasingly difficult to find something in such clean and original condition at an affordable price. This big, beautiful 'Burb is currently listed for $19,900, but you can always make an offer on the truck by clicking HERE.
