This is one of the most legendary muscle cars to ever roam the streets.
Of all the cars to come out the golden age of American muscle, this 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda AAR is one of the greatest. This ride is what Mopar fans dream of nightly, combining undeniable speed with unabashed aggressive good looks. Even better, this particular example from Smoky Mountain Traders is one of the better ones to hit the market in recent years.
The highly desirable 340 Six Pack engine comes in this car. Feeding the engine is a correct Edelbrock intake and three Holley carburetors. A dual exhaust system exits on both sides, letting the casual observer know this car means business. A 727 automatic transmission pairs with the Sure Grip 8 ¾-inch rear. Power brakes with discs up front and drums in the back is included.
You’ll notice the various body panels are just about perfect, plus they all fit together with even gaps, making for a phenomenal presentation all around. Complimenting that setup is the immaculate and highly polished Rallye Red paint job with Black AAR Stripes, black tail pan, and matte black hood. All brightwork also have a high shine, including the 15-inch Rallye wheels which are wrapped around nice Goodyear white letter tires for the proper retro look. Fresh door and window seals ensure moisture and dirt stay out of the interior.
A high impact red interior with woodgrain accents and a black gauge cluster looks fantastic. Even the carpeting and headliner are red. Speaking of the gauges, they’re the factory setup and each one is in good condition, preserving the original look and feel of this legend.
Thanks to low production numbers and a hardcore performance nature, the 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda AAR is both extremely rare and a unicorn for collectors. Finding one in this kind of condition is quite difficult, maybe next to impossible, so if you’ve always wanted one, now’s the perfect time to pull the trigger.
