Welcome to the distractions in 'Ryanville'.
The biggest game of the season is upon us this Sunday with the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs going head to head in Super Bowl 2020. Sure, a lot of people watch the game surely for the sport, but others are more excited to watch the best commercials of the year. While we have wind of some of the car-related ads that will air during the game, we wanted to bring some of the throwback commercials from years past.
Hyundai debuted this ad during the 2016 Super Bowl during the gridiron battle between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos to show off some of the then-new Elantra's advanced features. In the ad, Ryan Reynolds stars as himself all over the place in "Ryanville" while a pair of women are distracted by the actor's good looks.
The Hyundai Elantra ad shows Reynolds in different roles such as riding a bike, being handed a ticket in a classic car, walking dogs, playing football, and the like. Every time he makes an appearance, the woman take their eyes off the road to look his way. In the end, they are distracted by one Ryan as another walks in front of the car while walking a pack of dogs when the car comes abruptly to a halt thanks to the Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection.
The description to the Hyundai Elantra commercial on YouTube:
"We all get distracted. And that’s why the All-New Hyundai Elantra protects you with advanced safety features like Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. After all, you never know what you’re (not) going to run into out there."
So, if you're not into football or you don't really care about the two teams playing, it is simply worth watching thanks to the highly entertaining commercials. You never know what is up everyone's sleeves this year.
