This classic bowtie's 350cui V8 was given some major upgrades during the restoration process.
Back in September of 1966, the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro started trickling into showrooms nationwide for its very first model year, and it was pinned down to GM’s new rear-wheel-drive F-body platform. The product of a recent restoration, this ’67 Camaro has some huge changes to its powerplant. However, this classic retains its factory frame and body. Classic Auto Mall is pleased to offer the opportunity to own this beautiful and unique American classic from the Obie O’Brian Bon Jovi collection.
Gleaming brightly in Marina Blue, this classic’s original body was recently resprayed with three coats of base and clear each and is in excellent condition. In addition, a white wrap-around front hood stripe was laid over top, and it boasts SS badging. Equipped with the RS package, this classic bowtie features hidden headlights and RS-specific taillight bezels. A blemish-free white vinyl top is blanketed over the car’s hardtop. Period-correct stock blue steel wheels with dog dish caps have been updated and come wrapped with black sidewall tires. Behind the wheels are four-wheel 9-inch drum brakes.
As mentioned before, major changes were given to the original 350cui V8 powerplant during the restoration process. The heart of the beast consists of an original numbers-matching block and crankshaft, but KB hypereutectic pistons and rings were added with 9.5:1 compression along with Scat rods and a polished and balanced crank. Additional mechanical highlights include aluminum heads, hydraulic Comp Thumper camshaft, Quickfuel 650cfm carburetor, and an Edelbrock intake manifold. Additional rumble and performance come from Hedman headers and a Flowmaster exhaust setup. Power is shifted down to the 12-bolt 3.73 posi rear by a 4-speed manual Muncie transmission. Also, the undercarriage is in perfect shape with not a spot of rust to be found.
Open the doors to a clean interior complete with blue vinyl bucket seats highlighted with a white stripe accenting. Aftermarket gauges hang below the dash and monitor important vital signs such as oil, voltage, and water temperature. The trunk space is immaculate and comes with a spare wrapped in green and black houndstooth vinyl, a wheeled jack, and a crowbar.
