Powered by a monster 496cui big block with plenty of goodies.
Plenty of power on tap allows for some much needed right-foot therapy in this gleaming 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle. If that's exactly what you crave, then Duffy's Classic Cars is excited to offer the chance to own this stunning example of fine Chevelle muscle.
In excellent condition, the body is finished in a glossy red and adorned with black SS stripes, black rocker stripes, and 396 emblems. A set of 15-inch five-spoke Weld wheels sit on all four corners and are wrapped with Nitro SSR drag radials (275/60R15) and Mickey Thompson (P235/60/R15) rubber. Behind the wheels are front drilled and slotted rotors and rear Wilwood disc brakes.
Under the hood of this original 136 car is a replacement 496cui big block built for performance and backed by a 400 Turbo automatic transmission. Power is shifted down by a Hurst Gate Ratchet shifter to the Ford 9-inch posi rear end stuffed with 4:10 gears. Mechanical highlights include AFR aluminum heads, Quickfuel four-barrel carburetor on a polished Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition, and aluminum serpentine belt system. Adding even more rumble and performance is the full dual exhaust system that breathes through Hooker ceramic-coated headers and exits via Performance mufflers and chrome exhaust tips.
Open the doors to a like-new interior complete with black vinyl bucket seats. Vital information is monitored through aftermarket gauges for oil and temperature, a 120-mph speedometer, and a SunPro 8,000-rpm tachometer. An AM/FM radio with MP3 input provides tunes when not listening to the symphony provided by the muscular big block V8. Variable ratio power steering make turning and navigating this powerful classic a piece of cake.
