This Nova will go!
Chevelles and Camaros are practically a dime a dozen on the collector car market, so if you're looking for a Chevy that's a little different, check out this amazingly original 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS. Republic Auctions is listing this car for its inaugural auction event in November, and it is definitely one of the nicer third-gen Novas you'll find.
This car is as clean as the day it was built, and it is just as original, too. The entire driveline from the engine to the 12-bolt rear axle and factory 4.10 gears is numbers-matching, and the auction listing says the odometer's sub-35,000 reading is actual miles. Under the hood is the 350 CID V8 that came with the SS package, and with its four-barrel carburetor it delivers 300 horsepower. This Nova also has the Muncie M22 Rockcrusher four-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear tires through an Eaton posi-traction rear end.
The car's originality and low mileage are even more once you start poking around the car. The Azure Turquoise is beautiful and perfectly complemented by the black canvas top, excellent chrome and rally wheels wrapped in period-correct red line tires. The interior is just as nice with the all-black cabin showing off the comfy bucket seats and a center console, and the SS package adds a sportier element to this car with the tachometer and console gauges.
As proof that this 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS is a true show car, even the engine compartment, undercarriage and trunk are flawless. You'll definitely want to open the hood and bring under-body mirrors to show this car off!
This 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS will be auctioned off by Republic Auctions at its upcoming event in Dallas on November 22 -23. Over 400 vehicles and 100 lots of memorabilia will be up for grabs, so make sure you're registered to bid.
