On the outside, you have an innocent long-wheelbase Wrangler LJ, but under the hood sits one of the most conversion-friendly engines of all time, the GM LS V-8.
This Jeep was created by Bruiser Conversions of Clearwater, Florida, and while this company might be more well-known for its custom SEMA Jeep builds, its bread-and-butter is swapping LS and Cummins RBT engines into modern Wranglers. In this case, the Wrangler's stock 4.0-liter inline-six was replaced by a more powerful 5.3-liter LS V-8. That should provide plenty of power and torque to get this Jeep out of just about any trouble it could encounter.
With the hood open, it's not hard to see why this Jeep is so unique, but the Wrangler Unlimited – also known as the LJ – is special on its own. The Wrangler Unlimited was introduced in 2004 and lasted until that TJ/LJ body style was phased out in 2007 for the JK. The LJ is known for its longer wheelbase consisting of a 10-inch stretch between the wheels providing more interior space as well as a more refined ride.
The LJ bridged the gap between historical long-wheelbase Jeeps like the CJ-6 and CJ-8 and the next-generation four-door Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited. f you're in the market for a one-of-a-kind Jeep that will almost certainly continue to increase in value over time, then this LS-powered LJ might be the best $32,000 money can buy.
