From beet loaf to root canals, Bateman is not a man to disappoint.
This year's Super Bowl is already upon us this weekend, and the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs will be battling it out on the gridiron to see who takes home the Super Bowl ring. While most people will watch the game for some good old American football, plenty of others will tune in just to see some of the best commercials of the year during the biggest game of the year.
Hyundai debuted this humorous commercial during last year's Super Bowl game where the New England Patriots beat out the Los Angeles Rams (13 -3), and it features funny man and actor Jason Bateman as the elevator man that shows us that there are a lot of unpleansant moments in life. The ad starts out with a couple who purchased a Hyundai through Shopper Assurance as they get on Bateman's elevator and go along for the ride.
Bateman mans the elevator buttons and drops different people off at various floors that include root canals, middle seat passengers on an airplane, vegan dinner parties featuring Beet Loaf, "the talk" for teenagers, jury duty, and of course, car buying. Bateman opens the doors to the couple at a sad appearing car buying floor, and the couple announces that they had ordered a Hyundai. He then takes them to Hyundai's more appealing floor that includes one of the automaker's sharp looking SUVs.
While this year's Super Bowl commercials likely won't disappoint, we wanted to take a walk down memory lane with this funny Hyundai commercial. And if you have seen movies such as The Hangover, Juno, The Break-Up, Horrible Bosses, Extract, Couples Retreat, and more, than you know that Bateman is one of the funnier actors in Hollywood right now. And for those who didn't know, he began his acting career on television in the early '80s which includes Little House on the Prairie.
