Just like a modern stock car, this limited-edition Blazer is all about the stickers!
Dale Earnhardt won his third (of eventually seven) NASCAR Championships in 1987, and to commemorate that, this 1988 Chevrolet Blazer was created. This appears to be a special edition created by Jack Sykes Chevrolet in Virginia, and it will be up for grabs later this year through Raleigh Classic Car Auctions.
As is the case with anything having to do with The Intimidator, this two-door Blazer wears Earnhardt's signature black-and-red colors. The black Blazer received a little extra shine thanks to chrome trim that runs along the lower edge of the SUV's body, and it also has decals for GM Goodwrench, Richard Childress Racing and the Winston Cup. Earnhardt's signature can be found on both sides of the Blazer as well as on the spare tire cover. It's not clear how many other similar Blazers were created, but for the right price, this would be a cool addition to the collection of any Chevy-loving NASCAR fan.
What shouldn't be missed on this stickered-up SUV is the fact that you're looking at a 1988 Chevrolet Blazer with just under 19,000 miles on the odometer. This SUV has only been owned by one family and it's always been garage kept, which is obvious by looking at the condition of the original paint and interior as well as the clean Carfax report. Speaking of original, the low-mileage 2.8-liter V6 still runs strong, and this thing even has the original Delco radio! It also comes with all of the vehicle's original documentation (owner's manual, etc) as well as some documentation specific to this Dale Earnhardt-branded model.
This unique 1988 Chevrolet Blazer will be up for grabs at the Winter 2019 Raleigh Classic on December 6 - 7 along with a wide variety of other classic and collectible vehicles that will be crossing the auction block. If you want a shot at being the winning bidder for this Dale Earnhardt Blazer, then be sure you're registered to bid.
