The ultimate Brodozer for the environmentally conscious.
If you're into diesel trucks or have ever watched The Discovery Channel, then you've almost certainly heard of the Diesel Brothers reality television show. This show follows a shop that creates custom, over-the-top diesel trucks for clients, and this monster of a 2017 Ford F-550 Super Duty 6x6 is one of those trucks. It was built to promote biodiesel fuel, and now it can be yours thanks to Unique Specialty & Classic Cars of Mankato, Minnesota.
Officially nicknamed Indomitus, this Super Duty has been fully customized on the outside with a second rear axle added as well as custom-fabricated fiberglass front fenders and cargo bed. The wide-body front end has a Ford Raptor look to it, while the bed was stretched to over 10 feet to accommodate the extra rear axle. Don't worry, this truck may have been made for reality tv, but everything is fully functional including the six-wheel-drive system. The tandem rear axles feature a custom four-link suspension with Bilstein shocks and adjustable airbags.
For a stance fitting a custom 6x6 truck, Indomitus rides on 40-inch tires with a seven-inch lift, and while there's a fifth-wheel hitch in the bed, good luck trying to find a trailer that is as tall as the truck. The paint color is a custom hue from PPG called Giverny Green, and the logos are all done in vinyl graphics so they are easily removable (in case you don't want to advertise for the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council). Aftermarket bumpers, windshield visor and cargo bed headache rack all complement this truck's custom look.
As a contrast to the custom exterior, the cabin of this F-550 is practically stock with everything you'd expect from a heavy-duty work truck including the two cloth bench seats. Seeing that the Ford Super Duty is B20-capable from the factory, it doesn't appear that any modifications were made to the drivetrain of this big truck leaving the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel V8 and six-speed automatic transmission in stock shape. This powertrain is barely broken in, too, with just 12,000 miles on the odometer.
