These Italians will all break necks wherever you take them.
There’s no denying the attractive nature of a red Ferrari. Whether it’s a classic or more modern model, most people picture Ferraris in their mind as red for a reason. With several auctions taking place in Scottsdale, Arizona this week, now is the time to grab your dream red Ferrari. Following are the coolest examples crossing the auction block.
1973 Ferrari 246 GTS Targa
It’s not everyday you find an unrestored classic Ferrari, but that’s exactly what this 1973 Ferrari 246 GTS Targa being auctioned by Russo and Steele in Scottsdale is. That undeniably attractive red exterior isn’t marred by any rust or collision repairs, so this car looks amazing from any angle. With 19,000 miles accumulated since a professional engine and transmission rebuild, this car runs great. It also comes with factory air conditioning, power windows, the original jack, and most of the tools.
1951 Ferrari 212 Inter Cabriolet
This beautiful 1951 Ferrari 212 Inter Cabriolet will be crossing the block at Bonham’s Scottsdale Auction this year. Boasting coachwork by Vignale, this car comes with the original V12 engine and a well-documented history with few owners. It also successfully visited the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance recently. Estimated to be number 16 of 78 Inter examples constructed, Chassis no. 0159 E is the first of four cabriolets of similar styling which were bodied by Vignale. That rarity along with the original elements and exceptional condition of this Ferraris is fueling final bid estimates between $2 million and $2.4 million.
2020 Ferrari 488 Pista
At Gooding & Company’s Scottsdale 2020 event will be a 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista, by far the newest car in this list, but no less impressive. Already a modern classic with a monstrous 710 bhp surging from the twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8, many are calling this the definitive version of the Ferrari 488. This particular vehicle comes with plenty of factory options and of course Rosso Corsa over Blue Scuro. With a mere 50 miles on the odometer, everything included with the original sale is being handed over to the successful bidder, including the original window sticker, car cover, tools, keys, and books. This car is estimated to sell for $475,000 to $550,000.
2001 Ferrari 360 Spider
Crossing the block at this year’s Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale event, this red 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider has plenty going for it. With just 11,125 miles on the clock, everything about this car is in excellent condition, from the deep shine in the paint to the immaculate tan interior. A potent 3.6-liter V8 works with an F1 paddle-shifted 6-speed transmission for seamless gear changes, making this a vehicle anyone can easily enjoy. Features like Scuderia shields on the front fenders and red brake calipers make this ride even more desirable.
1958 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Series I
Arguably the most impressive car on this list, this 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Series I is the 25th our of 40 total first-series cabriolets made. RM Sotheby’s will be auctioning it off this Friday, January 16. The classic Pinin Farina cabriolet still has its original engine, chassis, transmission, rear differential, and body. As you can see, it’s in impressive condition and has even participated in ten touring events. In addition, this is the first series cabriolet produced by Ferrari, making it historically quite important to the brand. Estimates for this car are between $6 million and $7 million.
