Turns out that moving several large car collections into a small geographical area can come with some complications. Mainly, how do you find enough space for everyone to store all their various pieces of automotive magic. If you live in the area of Palm Beach County, it appears the answer is a rather novel collection of museum and club spaces.
With more and more wealthy folks moving in, Palm Beach has found itself quickly running out of car storage space, but a few companies have stepped up to attempt and solve the problem. One of these new groups is K2 Motorcars which is gearing up to open a massive 30,000 square foot building that can house more than 100 cars, and there are plans for a building four times that size near the airport. K2 wants to be much more than a storage facility however. K2 wants to position itself like a country club, but for exotic and vintage cars.
We think that sounds rad as hell.

K2 wants to offer a full owners lounge above the car storage space complete with cigars, lots of TVS for watching sports games, and plenty of chairs for just hanging out and chatting about cars. Throw in a whisky bar and it’s basically our version of heaven. Other perks include the potential for having your cars cleaned, gassed up, and delivered directly to you when landing from a flight.
There is such a need for this market right now that K2 is far from the only company proving fancy parking for your Bugatti or vintage Ferrari. The Collier Car Club just snagged a warehouse with space for 240 cars with the goal to build a “community for car lovers.” This one is special because they’ve said you don’t need to buy in to the car storage to be a club member. This could make it a great place for anyone looking to start their collection, as they can come in and chat with other owners in a private space and gain some great knowledge and camaraderie.
The final interesting market coming to this hot area of car storage is a set of car condos called the “Hangar.” You buy a unit, then you are free to customize it any way you want. It’s your very own custom garage, surrounded by tons of other custom garages. Could make for one amazing Cars and Coffee event once they all get filled.
