This early ‘60s sedan is the perfect beach cruiser.
AutoBarn Classic Cars is offering you the opportunity to own this gorgeous 1961 Chevrolet Impala. Beach days are ahead with this partially restored sedan from the early '60s, and it comes complete with a surfboard attached to the roof. And with a spacious interior, you can fit all your friends along with everything else needed for the perfect beach adventure.
This stylish Impala features original Ermine White paint, but some areas have resprayed and blended into the original paint. The interior is in good condition retaining the factory blue/teal cloth interior seats that certainly add to the beach vibe. Teal accents add a nice contrast against the crisp white paint, and custom teal pinstriping (in the shape of a tiki man) on the hood is a unique touch. Also, it wouldn’t have that classic Impala feel without lots of chrome accents throughout both the interior and exterior. A set of retro Centerline chrome wheels mounted to 22-inch radial tires complete the exterior aesthetic.
Tucked inside the nicely detailed engine bay is a 283 cubic-inch small-block V8 that is backed by Chevy’s renowned two-speed PowerGlide transmission. No documentation is available on the build, but the owner believes that the 54,300 miles clocked in on the odometer is correct. To add to the beach theme even further, a wooden tiki man is attached to the end of the shifter on the column.
Underneath, the chassis is solid and is equipped with manual steering and power drum brakes with dual master cylinders. Clearance is not an issue thanks to an “AirPod” air suspension by RideTech/Air Ride Technologies that performs flawlessly.
If you’re ready to add more beach days to the calendar and want to arrive there in style, then this may be the perfect vehicle for you. You can make an offer here.
