This big-block Blazer looks ready to battle Baja.
You'll find a lot of custom trucks on these pages, but this professionally built 1973 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is about as nice as they come. Streetside Classics just took in an amazingly custom K5 Blazer that is ready for anything from beach cruises to trail crawls. Sadly, the high quality of this build almost guarantees this truck will ever go off-roading, but if it does, there will be very little that can stop it.
Set up as a street-legal race truck, this rig starts with a 454 CID V8 under the hood that has been built up with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Jegs cast valve covers, a guarded K&N air filter, MSD ignition, an aluminum radiator with electric fans and dual remote oil filters. This power is surely necessary to motivate the massive 35x12.50 Mickey Thompson tires, which wrap 15-inch Mickey Thompson bead lock wheels.
This beast may have been built for power, but she's a beauty, too. This square-body Blazer looks stunning in its bright red paint job, and the bumpers, roll bar and tube doors are all painted to match. Speaking of the doors, these might be the best part about this Blazer's look are those tube doors. Not only provide added security, but they also help the aesthetics of the Blazer tying in with the roll cage and push bumper. The coolest part of the doors is the front portion that is covered in sheet metal and shaped to match the lines of the fender. That massive front bumper is ready for anything with integrated skid plates and winch mount, while the four-pin removable hood finishes off the race truck vibe – this thing sits up so high a conventional hood doesn't make sense anyway.
Inside, the Blazer has the interior of a four-seater off-road race truck with racing bucket seats and five-point harnesses for the front passengers and a race-ready rear seat with lap belts for those in the back. Just in case this Blazer gets into trouble, there's a full assortment of gear in the back including a full set of tools, a jack and a shovel
If you're looking for a well-built truck that you would be just as much fun showing off as it is slinging mud, this incredibly well-built 1973 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is the truck for you. Streetside Classics has this Chevy listed for $54,995, but you can click HERE to make an offer.
