According to the history, the first owner was a U.S. Army Officer that owned the car about nine years. After that, the second owner had it for 26 years where it was well-maintained. During that time, he had the car repainted in its original hue back in the 1990s. He also installed new Wilton wool carpets, leather seat covers, headliner, and wire-spoke wheels with stainless steel spokes. After accruing about 68,000 miles, it was sold again to a third owner who also improved the car mechanically and cosmetically. After nine years and 8,500 more miles, it was sold to its fourth owner where it remained in a collection for twelve years. The fifth and most recent caretaker of the car had the transmission rebuilt, upholstery work, engine reseal, driveshaft-u-joints, etc.
