The Bronco made its big debut in 1966 as Ford's first 4x4 sport utility vehicle, and it was built to rival the market occupied by International Harvester Scout and Jeep. Back in 2012, this straight-bodied Bronco was finished in a brilliant factory Ford red, and it comes complete with a white hardtop. In fact, the factory white-painted hardtop is removable, and ensures that this Bronco can be enjoyed no matter the season. Like any finish that has clocked a few miles, very few minor blemishes can be found. That means that this Bronco is no garage queen. In fact, it has 8,805 miles which is incredibly low for the age of the vehicle, but enough to know that it hasn't been parked all its life.
A 3.5-inch suspension lift to add to the Bronco's aggressive appearance while providing plenty of clearance for the 32-inch tires wrapped around 15-inch aluminum-style wheels. All chrome and trim are in excellent shape and show no signs of aging or wear. Even more, the stainless trim and glass are all in great condition.
Under the hood sits a recently built 302cui V8 engine shifted via a 3-speed automatic transmission. More mechanical highlights include an Edelbrock aluminum intake and 650cfm carburetor with an electric choke. Stopping power is provided by front power disc brakes with rear drums. Even more, this Bronco is equipped with power steering.
Inside, a pair of Corbeau bucket seats that have been upholstered in fast-drying neoprene, so go ahead and confidently drive in the open air. The dashboard is in good condition, and the vinyl floor appears as new. An upgraded locking steel center console was installed, and a custom roll cage was added for safety. A retro radio appears in the dashboard, but it is only a cover to the modern bluetooth stereo.
