It’s not every day you come across a car that not only looks track ready, but actually has the setup to back that up. This 2018 Chevrolet Camaro SS has been tuned by Petty’s Garage to be a monster on the blacktop. This is a great way to spend your weekends, for sure.
This car takes a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro SS Coupe in Hyper Blue Metallic, a paint color which already looks drop-dead gorgeous in any amount of light, and improves on it further. Plenty of modern racing graphics on both sides, the hood, and the rear window let everyone know this ride isn’t just for cruising down Main Street.

Of course, it does no good to mimic track-ready looks if you can’t also bring it. Everyone knows Petty’s Garage can really bring it, so expect serious performance from this Camaro. It uses Texas Speed Stage 3 camshafts to give a serious boost to the 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine, which in stock form produces a potent 455-horsepower and 455 lb.-ft. of torque. A set of Kooks long tube headers plus a Magnaflow Competition Series catback exhaust system help the engine breathe out easier, further augmenting the setup.
When you add more power to any car, you either have to make adjustments to keep it in check or you’ll be all over the place. Further demonstrating this is a car tuned for hitting the apex just so, it wears 20x10 and 20x11 HRE FF04 Flowform wheels with Continental Sport Contact tires wrapped around them for plenty of grip. Eibach Pro lowering springs drops the Camaro’s ride height by one inch, and that lower center of gravity means even tighter handling. Rounding things out is a Petty’s Garage color-matched strut tower brace and Petty’s Garage sub-frame connectors, stiffening the chassis and suspension.
While the Chevrolet Camaro SS isn’t super common, it isn’t super rare either. However, the balanced and high-quality modifications plus race-inspired look of this car makes it unique and well worth the investment.
