It's old school Pontiac vs this aftermarket creation!
There’s no denying the unique and compelling looks of an F-Body, which is why these GM cars have become so popular and iconic throughout the years. The big question is whether you like your American muscle old school or with some modern flair. Two examples from Restore A Muscle Car are great in different ways, but which do you prefer?
First up is an old classic, a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am, which has undergone extensive restoration efforts. The beautiful Atlantis Blue paint job is new, and it’s a rare but excellent color for the 1979 model year. You also get to feast your eyes on 15x8 Snowflake wheels and the striking Phoenix graphics, completing the classic appearance. The deluxe vinyl interior features a Medium Blue and White two-tone scheme, matching the exterior so well. The combination is sure to generate tons of attention at any car show or while you’re cruising down the road.
The 6.6-liter V8 was rebuilt at 95k miles, so it purrs like a kitten and roars like a lion, taking you back to the days of glory in no time. The removable T-tops make for a quick way to enjoy nice weather, while the air conditioning blows cold when you want to escape the heat.
For the second option, a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was transformed into a 2014 Hurst Trans Am, proving the legend can indeed live on today. Put on display at SEMA, this limited edition conversion is #5 of 15, making it highly unique and collectible. As you can clearly see, this ride has a nice retro appearance, including a shaker scoop, T-tops, and Snowflake wheels.
The conversion started with a Camaro that had only 10 miles on the clock. Since then, it has been cautiously driven 7,000 miles, ensuring everything is in great condition. The supercharged engine pushes 650-horsepower, so you could burn plenty of rubber, if you so desire. Otherwise, this ride is one that will generate tons of buzz at any show and be something people talk about seeing cruising around town for years to come.
