Only six Earnhardt Signature Z28 Camaros were built in 1994 and this one has just 13,000 miles
F-body’s have a soft spot in the car community, they were GM’s last hurrah before killing two of the most revered names in muscle car history; the Firebird and the Camaro.
They may not offer the tantalizing silhouettes of their forefathers, but what they do instead more than makes up for it. They still eat Mustangs for breakfast, like Pete Estes brief from the sixties, and they are particularly affordable still. Or are they?
Limited edition F Body’s are starting to creep up quite an alarming rate, but some are even rarer and push the boundaries of what you thought possible for the unloved beast.
The car featured here just so happens to be one of those pricey examples, but with good reason. Just six of these cars exist.
This is a 1994 Earnhardt Signature Edition Z28 Camaro. All six were sold new from Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet in North Carolina back in ‘94. The limited production model was created to celebrate Dale Earnhardt’s sixth NASCAR championship.
All cars were identical with the recognizable Goodwrench Racing livery adorning the svelte black bodywork. The theme continues inside with Dale Earnhardt's signature emblazoned on the headrests.
This particular example sports just 13,000 original miles, equating to just over 500 miles per year, so you can guarantee it’s condition.
Power comes from the venerable LT1 350 with 275-horsepower mated to a slick six speed manual transmission. Although this may all seem rather typical for an F Body of this era, its real secret is that these were not available to purchase when new, whilst being loaded with every conceivable option
Each one of the six were raffled off in a NASCAR sponsored prize draw, which perhaps goes some way to explain why they are exceedingly collectable.
