This 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport being sold by GT Motor Cars was built to the specifications of Santino Ferrucci himself. While regular Grand Sport models are excellent driver’s cars, this one pushes to a new level through a series of meticulous modifications.
Let’s face it: what’s under the hood of a car like this matters most. Ferrucci went big on engine modifications. He went the forced induction route with a ProCharger F1-A supercharger. The motor was built by Center Auto Machine Shop using Manley Performance parts with quite a few of the engine internals swapped out, including a new crankshaft, 10.5:1 pistons, and Vengeance Racing camshafts with 32% lobe installed.
Many other mods have been added to further optimize the setup, including the transmission being rebuilt by Champion Transmission and a Borla catback exhaust with valve system. This car is pushing 610 rear-wheel horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of rear-wheel torque.
Put this car next to a stock 2017 Corvette Grand Sport and you’d instantly notice the differences go beyond the camo treatment in the front and rear. A more aggressive stance is achieved through 3LT front fender and side skirt extensions. A Borla diffuser and 1552 custom forged three-piece racing wheels with Toyo Tires further emphasize this car is setup for aggressive driving. Changing the aesthetics further are ceramic tints and all exterior plastics painted over.
Understandably, anyone would be concerned about all that exterior work getting damaged by flying rocks and other dangers. Full-body Xpel protection and Xpel Fusion ceramic coating guard against paint damage, while the ClearPlex windshield skin covers the glass.
Just like the exterior, the interior has been modified with several custom pieces. Among them is a new steering wheel with ergonomic grips, Grand Sport floormats, and a carbon-fiber dashboard.
