This is the superbike you’ve been looking for.
Some motorcycles just scream to be ridden hard. This 2015 Ducati 1299 Panigale S is just such a bike. It’s fast, handles well, and lives up to the legend of the Ducati name. What’s more, this superbike has been lauded for returning Ducati to its former glory
Of course, one of the shining stars is the 1285cc Superquadro engine, like what the 1199 S used, but with some big changes. This has a 112mm bore, and to balance that out there are 116mm pistons, steel liners, new rods, and a new crankshaft with precision steel balancing inserts. Peak output is excellent at 205-horsepowerUnlike many superbikes, the engine has been tuned for mid-range power and not top-range power. That’s more practical for street use, yet can still be great on a track, depending of course on the layout.
As can be expected on a motorcycle with only 974 miles on the odometer, the glossy red paint job on this Ducati looks excellent. The same can be said of the gold front forks and other components, ensuring this superbike will impress anyone who lays eyes on it.
While some superbikes aren’t exactly comfortable to ride, this one provides a little more comfort than many others. The handlebars are closer than you might expect, plus the seat is fairly well-padded. All kinds of electronics are crammed in this motorcycle, including a Bosch inertial measurement unit, three riding modes that are customizable, and a Ducati Quick Shift system.
Some purists might not like the innovative design, but the Ducati 1299 Paginale S has been praised for pushing the envelope and making up for engineering missteps in the 1199 S. To find one so well-preserved from 2015 is understandably rare, because most owners have flogged theirs on the track more than a few times. This bike is being sold through American Motorcycle Trading Company.
