The growling V12 and look-at-me styling are a killer combination.
It’s not every day that you find a 1994 Ferrari 512 TR for sale. Rare and highly desired, these Italian stallions were the follow-up to the long-running and popular Testarossa. Now, this car has hit the open market and it could become yours.
Naturally, everyone is attracted first and foremost by that potent mid-mounted 5.0-liter V12 engine. It has such a unique growl, and that combined with the manual transmission is a setup you just can’t get in modern supercars. To help compensate for this powerful engine, this Ferrari 512 TR comes with quicker steering, larger cross-drilled brakes. With the proper stretch of a private runway, you can hit this Ferrari’s top speed of 195 mph.
Like any proper Ferrari, this 512 TR wears a luscious coat of Rosso Corsa Red paint. It pairs perfectly with the factory five-spoke alloy wheels and original badges, because everything was designed to go together. Flip-up headlights and long-finned vents on the side panels are design elements today’s cars don’t have.
Instead of modifying the interior to make it more modern, the previous owner kept every detail stock. That means the classic Ferrari steering wheel with the bright yellow logo in the middle greets you every time, plus you get to the use the factory instruments and controls. The gated shifter is a sign this is a purist’s ride, while soft leather on the seats and tall bolsters mix luxury and performance in one.
It was Pininfarina that added some subtle updates to the classic Testarossa body to create the 512 TR. Ferrari itself outfitted the engine with a more efficiency exhaust system and Nikasil cylinder liners, boosting output by 38-horsepower. This was done in response to the Lamborghini Diablo. Thanks to the combination of a V12 engine and manual transmission, plus the unique looks of the 512 TR, prices are on the rise. If you’re interested in buying this Ferrari, you can do so through Atlantis Motor Group – Canada.
