This vehicle comes with credentials and livery from the famed Monte Carlo Rallye.
An amazing history can make a car which is already exceptional that much more interesting to own. This 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS is just such a vehicle. It was owned by several Germans, including Hendrick Unger, who was a race car driver and used the 911 Carrera RS as a support vehicle for numerous races, including the 1982 Monte Carlo Rallye. Both the credentials and livery from that race are present with the car today, relics that you don’t get when purchasing other cars. From there, this Porsche went to a Japanese collector, then on to the UK, then back to Germany, and finally Canada in the hands of another collector. Now it's being sold through European Collectibles.
It was the Canadian owner who decided to engage in a full nut-and-bolt restoration of this remarkable car in 2013. This involved all mechanical systems being rebuilt, with work performed by Jakobs, repair specialists with a reputation in Canada.
The Japanese owner had painted this car painted white. As part of the restoration, the original Light Yellow paint was reapplied. When it rolled out the factory, the black leatherette interior was present, which of course has been fully restored.
You get a numbers-matching engine, plus a verified body number. All the options that had been originally ordered on this car are present, like the front sports seats, noise suppression, and front loudspeaker. A binder with documentation of everything done to this Porsche with each owner is included, detailing that amazing history.
Prices of air-cooled Porsche 911 models continue to increase since there aren’t exactly any more rolling off the factory lines. Factor in the storied and verified past of this car and you have a seriously collectible and unique vehicle that would make a good investment. If you’re interested in adding this 911 Carrera RS to your garage, contact European Collectibles. The company offers financing as well as restoration services.
Also, if you like Porsches and other fine vehicles, European Collectibles has a nice inventory you can look through.
