This is a tribute to Bobby Allison's Trans Am winning #85 Datsun 510 BRE.
Duncan Imports & Classics is offering the opportunity to grab one special 1971 Datsun 510 BRE tribute car. Certified by Brock Racing Enterprises to resemble the Trans Am winning car driven by Bobby Allison, this 1971 Datsun 510 is street legal and is adorned in the blue and white BRE livery complete with number 85.
The body of this tribute car is painted in a two-tone white and blue with all correct livery to the original car, and it has been flared and tubbed to fit wide aftermarket 15-inch five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped with 205-series Hankook tires. All of the lights work perfectly, and it features the unrestored original bumpers.
Under the hood sits a modified 2.5-liter L20B engine mated to a 280Z five-speed manual transmission. The chassis features adjustable coilovers by Techno Toy Tuning with stopping power provided by 280Z front disc brakes. Although a build sheet isn't available, the L20B is believed to have a set of 280Z pistons and a longer-stroke crankshaft is likely. Quenching the thirst for fuel is a set of Weber side-draft carburetors, and gases exit through free-flowing exhaust and a tube header.
Open the doors to this Datsun and reveal a full interior with front seats from a later model and a bench seat that spans the rear. The car features an aftermarket steering wheel, rearview mirror, and a center console complete with auxiliary gauges.
If this 1971 Datsun 510 BRE tribute car is calling your name, contact Duncan Imports & Classics and see how you can get behind the wheel. Enthusiasts may recognize this car and find that it is a well-built tribute to the original. The car is listed at $29,900, but feel free to contact them with an offer. This retro Datsun looks like it is a blast to drive.
