We've seen our fair share of low-mileage Corvettes recently, but this 1971 Chevrolet Corvette seems extra special. Instead of being an instant classic like a limited edition pace car or super-rare build combination, this car is just your run-of-the-mill '71 'Vette that has been preserved and driven sparingly.
Listed for sale by the Porsche experts at CPR Classic in California, this Corvette apparently has had just two owners over its 48 years and a combined 6,087 miles on the odometer. That's just enough for this car to have enjoyed a few car shows in its day yet also low enough to allow this car to remain in Concours- or museum-quality condition. With an inventory of Porsches that spans from a 1951 356 to a 2014 911, you know CPR Classic is serious about sports cars, and this C3 Corvette is no exception.
As if the low miles and amazing condition weren't good enough, this car is painted in Nevada Silver, which was tied (with Sunflower Yellow) for the rarest color on a 1973 Corvette with just 1,177 examples being built. This understated color looks amazing on the Corvette, and it still has a high-quality luster. Even the engine compartment is in great shape, which will make showing off the 370-horsepower 350 CID V-8 even more enjoyable at car shows. And this thing will definitely win some awards at car shows with the spotless interior and flawless chrome inside and out.
Speaking of chrome, the 1973 model years was one of the final years for the steel bumper Corvettes before the front bumper changed to urethane in '73 and the back bumper a year later. When it comes to C3 Corvettes (1968 to 1982), you're going to have a hard time finding one in better condition than this one.
