With no reserve set, this 1969 Plymouth Road Runner will be crossing the auction block at GAA Classic Cars on November 9. This classic American muscle car has gone through a rotisserie restoration, which is exactly how you want your bird to be prepared.
If you’ve never seen a ’69 Road Runner with an Alpine White exterior and Blue Metallic Bucket Seat interior like this one, you’re not alone. According to GAA Classic Cars, the owner says it’s the only A-12 with this combination known to exist. It’s also car #179 on the A-12 Registry.
This rare bird has all the right trimmings like the correct redline tires wrapped around factory wheels, a 440ci V8 with 6-Pack carbs, a four-speed manual transmission, Hurst Pistol Grip shifter, a heavy-duty Dana rear end, and the console delete. The various elements of this car all orient toward one thing: going fast. Ultimately, this is a car destined for drag strip glory.
At the same time, you’ll look great rolling down Main Street. The matte black hood with the huge scoop and red decals on the side are an aggressive statement nobody can ignore. This ride will also sound appropriately capable as it burbles when you’re idling and roars under acceleration.
