This beautiful, blue Chevelle probably looks better than it did 50 years ago!
When it comes to high-value Chevelles, the SS454 LS6 is the cream of the crop. If you don't want to drop a six-figure sum on a true LS6 or settle for a tribute car, though, then you'll want to check out this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle L78 SS396 that is currently up for sale through Midwest Car Exchange.
This Chevelle is the best of both worlds for collectors as it underwent a detailed frame-off restoration yet it remains a numbers-matching car. The engine, transmission and rear axle are all original to the car, and speaking of the driveline, the posting adds that the Turbo Hydra-Matic X high-performance transmission and RPO F41 heavy-duty suspension are both very rare on this car. Only 722 Chevelle SS models were equipped with the F41 suspension package. Being the L78, this 396 CID V8 puts out 375 horsepower giving this Chevelle incredible performance and an unmistakable muscle car rumble.
From the outside, this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle looks as good as it did the day it rolled off the assembly line in November 1968. The body is absolutely straight with flawless body gaps, while the LeMans Blue paint with white side stripes are a fresh break from all the black and red Chevelles you see at car shows. Inside, the blue bucket seats (with the correct code showing on the cowl tag) and blue carpet are spotless, and this interior still looks factory fresh right down to the Delco AM radio.
Midwest Car Exchange has this remarkably restored Chevelle L78 SS396 listed for $72,900, but you can click HERE to make an offer. You'll be hard-pressed to find a classic Chevelle that's in better condition than this one.
