You’ll be one of the few to own such a car.
Owning a unique car is a lot of fun, especially if it packs a lot of power. This 1966 Plymouth Satellite hardtop from Mohr Imports is just such a vehicle. Only 503 were built for the United States with the 426ci Hemi V8 and a 4-speed manual transmission, a combination which makes this ride plenty of fun.
With 4bbl carbs from its creation, this car was officially rated at 425-horsepower and 490 lb.-ft. of torque. You could have a lot of smoky, good times since this Plymouth also comes with a Dana 60 rear axle as well as the Sure Grip limited-slip differential, which was optional equipment from the factory.
This ride isn’t just about raw power. Optional power brakes helps you keep everything under control. So do Diamond Back LS5 redline radial tires wrapped about 15-inch Magnum 500-style wheels. If you prefer, 14-inch steel wheels with Goodyear Blue Streak tires and two sets of period-correct hubcaps are included with this car.
That sinister black paint job isn’t original, having been done sometime before 2007. Still, it’s nice and glossy, presenting well enough to turn more than a few heads as you cruise down the street. A previous owner decided to add a nice addition, mounting a hood ornament from a 1967 Plymouth Satellite.
Since this Plymouth came from the factory with the P4X interior trim group, there are some nice upgrades. Front bucket seats covered with black vinyl go well with the stainless steel and chrome trim pieces. A wood-rimmed steering wheel is another upgraded touch, although the original all-black steering wheel is being included, if you prefer the factory look. You can tell at least one previous owner was an enthusiast, because this car features an aftermarket, column-mounted tachometer as well as three additional gauges mounted under the dash.
The current owner for this car has had it since 2012. It’s recently been serviced and the owner is willing to provide service records. This is a ride you can buy now and enjoy almost immediately, instead of having to garage it for long-term repairs. That’s a nice bonus.
Of course, Mohr Imports has quite a few excellent cars for you to look through. The company also takes consignments, if you have something to sell and offers storage services. If you have further questions about this car or any services, contact the dealer directly.
