Here’s the little red truck of your dreams.
A partial restomod, this 1966 Chevrolet C10 retains all the classic styling of the pickup you love, while improving upon it with superior mechanicals. It’s really the best of both worlds, which is great news since this truck is available.
One of the first questions anyone is going to have about a restomod like this will be about what’s under the hood. A nice Chevrolet 350ci V8 is the answer, combining with an Edelbrock 4bbl carb, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, a ceramic-coated headers for plenty of power. Helping with reliability in a range of temperatures is an aluminum radiator.
The modern features go beyond just the powerful and reliable engine. Power steering and power front disc brakes allow greater control over the truck. Vintage Air air conditioning helps you to enjoy this Chevrolet more during the summer. All the gauges are modern and work perfectly, plus there’s tilt adjustment for the steering wheel. Use a modern stereo to listen to all your favorite tunes while cruising around, even though the deck face looks appropriately vintage.
While you can get all these features in a newer truck, you don’t get those fantastic designs unique to the 1960s. Those body panels are all steel, with a nice red which shines to near perfection to accentuate each curve. All the trimmings are present, including the factory badging and modern 20-inch Coys wheels. If you prefer a more vintage look, steel rally wheels could be substituted. The bed features straight, undamaged wood and shiny hardware, plus perfect paint on the side walls, tailgate, and rear portion of the cab.
Beasts of labor, classic Chevrolet C10s are fairly common, but many are in rough condition. A restomod vehicle like this one allows you to drive your collector vehicle with greater pride and avoid the hassle of an unreliable as well as weaker powertrain.
