Fully restored and heading for auction!
The '50s were an amazing decade when it came to the designs of classic cars, and this 1958 Dodge Royal Lancer is a lovely example. If you can't get enough fin action and baby blue paint in your life, then you'll want to check out this magnificent Mopar as it crosses the GAA Classic Cars auction block on Saturday July 27.
This two-door hardtop has been fully restored with new paint and interior as well as a rebuilt 361 CID V-8. This engine will purr as you float down the highway! From the factory, this 1958 Dodge Royal came equipped with features such as power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat and air conditioning, and since then, it has been upgraded with amenities that include disc brake conversion, electric fuel pump and an electric cooling fan. All of this was done to make this big Dodge as fun to drive as it is to show off.
While the fins are big enough to grab your attention, the incredibly flawless baby blue over white paint job is what will surely get this car attention at cruise-ins and car shows alike. Lots of clean chrome and those lovely white-wall tires don't hurt this car's case either. The interior is just as nice too with a bigger dose of baby blue throughout the cabin, and a two-tone pattern on the bench seats. Inside and out, this car has everything there is to love about automotive design of the 1950s.
If the looks alone aren't enough to make this car special, Dodge only offered the Royal Lancer from 1954 through 1959, so the added rarity should totally seal the deal. Be sure to tune into GAA Classic Cars auction later this month where this 1958 Dodge Royal Lancer will be just one of 650 classic and collector vehicles up for auction during the three-day event.
