These two vehicles will be up for auction as a matching set.
What's better than owning a custom hot rod with a cool flame paint job? Hauling said hot rod out on an equally custom hauler truck with a matching flame paint job! If this sounds like hot rod heaven to you, then check out this 1933 Pontiac Five-Window Hot Rod and matching 1947 Dodge Cab-Over Hauler Truck that will be auctioned off as a pair (Lot S555) by Vicari Auction next month.
For optimal cruising, the steel-bodied 1933 Pontiac Five-Window Hot Rod is an amazing machine powered by a 512 CID V8 Cadillac engine mated to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission with a B&M 2500 rpm stall converter. The roof features a 3.5-inch chop, while the body received custom, hand-built metal work on the hood, trunk and roof. Inside, the four-seater hot rod is almost completely wrapped in leather with embroidered flames to match the exterior. This interior is a full custom job, and it features Vintage air conditioning and a pair of TV screens for the back passengers.
As if arriving at a car show in a flamed orange and yellow hot rod wasn't flashy enough, this '33 Pontiac comes with its own chauffeur courtesy of a 1947 Dodge Cab-Over truck, and this massive hauler is definitely the more interesting vehicle of this auction lot. Sure, the sleeper cab with a pair of 17-inch TV screens and drop-down tailgate with a remote-controlled tilting bed are cool, but the best part of this truck is the slide-out compartment with a build-in gas barbecue grille! And just for good measure, this big beast is powered by a massive GM 496 CID V8 engine worthy of such a hot-rod hauler.
